Dr. Pamela Genno Watwat, who proudly followed her mother’s footsteps, earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery diploma from Saint Joseph University in 2014, where she was the valedictorian of her class. Then, she got her Master in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the American University of Beirut where she is currently a research fellow and instructor.

She is also knowledgeable in the field of Genetics since her Master thesis consisted of a genetic study on the Mediterranean population that led to the discovery of candidate genes associated with familial mandibular prognathism. This study received the “2020 Wayne G. Watson Award for Biologic or Experimental Research” from the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, which is given annually to the highest-rated biologic or experimental research article published in this journal during the previous year.

She is a full-time orthodontist at the two clinics of Smile 961 and a part-time orthodontist in several other clinics including Clemenceau Medical Center. Dr. Pamela is a member of the Lebanese Dental Association (LDA) and the Lebanese Orthodontic Society (LOS).
